Built in 1998, this striking arena is one of New Zealand’s largest purpose-built indoor sporting and entertainment venues. When it is not playing host to sporting teams or world-renowned artists, it is used to host exhibitions, trade shows and gala dinners.
The arena has 6500sqm of hireable exhibition space with 4000sqm within the main body of the arena and a further 2500sqm available in the concourse. There is also the ability to add even more room if necessary.
The size and versatility of its facilities means it is the only South Island venue that can consistently host and deliver outstanding gala dinner experiences for up to 2500 guests.
Eighteen corporate suites are also available for intimate gatherings.
The generous space indoors is complemented by an expansive parking area, which can house up to 1800 vehicles, making this one of the most easily accessible conferencing venues in Christchurch.
